Dear Stakeholders,
before writing this letter, I took the time to reread and rethink what we have achieved in 2020 with great awareness that, in the path of sustainability, there are no end points, whilst the clarity in objectives is certainly necessary.
The reflections matured during the pandemic’s interruption has radically changed the perspective of this path towards sustainability, reducing the urgency factor towards immediate results and shifting our creative and innovative energies towards solid medium and long term environmental and social goals.
It is precisely from our cultural change that we started to address the many projects activated and thus completed between 2020 and early 2021 within PIANOFORTE VALUE. Without a clear desire to build together, aligning our individual goals with the company's goals, we would not have been able to co-create and imagine what many call "the world to be”. A world in which mankind returns to be the protagonist, together with nature, and technology is merely placed as an enabler of these processes.
First and foremost, we are retail specialists, and this has led us to listen deeply to all our stakeholders over the years; even before this communication took the form of material analysis, we clearly and unambiguously outlined the relevant issues on which to direct our energies, in order to improve products and processes in a sustainable way.
I would therefore like to thank all those who have contributed with their skills and emotions to the internal strengthening of our brands, because I believe that transformations are only possible when the entire community wants to face the challenges of change together, driven by the desire to evolve.
In hoping that the contents set out in our second voluntary Sustainability Report are clear and engaging, and that at the end of the reading we will have managed to surprise and interest you, we renew - with the Sustainability Working Group - our commitment to improving the metrics recorded over the last two years to account for the progress being made, not only within Yamamay and Carpisa, but also in relation to the global objectives of the UN's 2030 Agenda.
